Basic Operation

= The basics of the CAD =

[Up Key] : Up
[Down Key] : Down
[Right Key] : Right
[Left Key] : Left
[+] or [PageUp] : expansion
[-] or [PageDown] : reduction

When indicating the figure and size, you use the left button of the mouse,
As for the right button of the mouse when cancelling the figure which is selected immediately before
When deciding the position where size you draw (the optional point) you use.

= File =

Creating New Files

Click this button to create a new empty drawing.

Opening Existing Files

Click this button to load an existing drawing.
SagCAD can load drawings in the DXF and SGY format.
Cancelling the present drawing, you open another drawing.

Saving Drawings With A New Name

Using this option shows a dialog where you can choose a name for the file to write.
You can either overwrite an existing DXF,SGY or IGES(beta) file or create a new one.

Click this button to overwrite an existing DXF,SGY or IGES(beta) file.

Part figure insertion

Another drawing is inserted in the drawing which presently is opened.
The drawing which is inserted at that time appointment is done (in point coordinate) whether it inserts where in starting point.

< Note > The active layer (the current layer) it inserts the data which is inserted. Because of that, it is becoming one layer it becomes the figure in the layer of here and there, confused. The part figure with 1 part please makes one file.

Printing

It prints.
Before printing, please be sure to do printing setting. In addition, when drawing the dimension line, when becoming setting of " printing image ", before drawing the dimension line unless it sets, it is indicated to the letter of the size whose letter of size is extreme.

When it sets to exact size printing which corresponds to the scale with printing setting, the printing range is indicated with the dotted line. = Undo & Redo =

Undo

It is undo.
It is limitless. When it retains, it becomes the sky.

Redo

Undone actions can get restored with this function.

=Cutting & paste *

Cut

After copying the figure which selects in the clipboard it deletes.
It is the individual clipboard.
"(HOME)/.sagcad/SagCAD_Clip " is outputted.

Copy

The figure which selects is copied in the clipboard.
It is the individual clipboard.
"(HOME)/.sagcad/SagCAD_Clip " is outputted.

Paste

The figure of the clipboard is inserted in the current layer.
It is the individual clipboard.
"(HOME)/.sagcad/SagCAD_Clip "

= Draw =

Redraw

From the computer aided design of this software, when it keeps drawing the figure, the strange figure remains in the drawing area, there is a thing where the necessary figure goes out. with this please redraw such a time.

View Center

The center is set.
The point is grasped with the left button, coordinate of this point is set on the center of the drawing area.
With the right button the optional point (the point which clicks the mouse) it sets on the center of the drawing area.
This command is one shot. When the operation of 1 time completes, it ends.

< End of central setting > It ends by the fact that the medium button of the mouse is pushed.

As for the View, 6 it is up to 0 - 5,
When pushing the right button, magnification ratio of the present drawing area the center is made to remember to that button.
When pushing the left button, magnification ratio of the drawing area which makes remember the center is reconstructed.

= Various setting & indication =

Line Style Select

Line kind setting modifies present color and line kind.
The line kind which is set here is applied when drawing up the figure where the rear of the this is new.

Zoom To Scale 1:x

Modification of magnification ratio basically enlargement " - " with reduces with "+ " of the keyboard.
With " + " enlargement up to with 2000, " X 1.5 (default)" of original magnification ratio becomes magnification ratio.
" - " With reduction up to with 0.00001, " / 1.5 (default)" of original magnification ratio becomes magnification ratio.
When " Mag 1 " and so on the area which is written is clicked, inputting magnification ratio directly, it modifies.

Layer setting

[ Layer 0 ] there is a place where it is indicated, but the present current layer can be verified with this.
In addition, when the place of this [ Layer 0 ] is clicked, the " layer setting dialogue box " appearing, it can set the layer.

Meaning of the color which is indicated in the layer setting dialogue box has become like below.

Active layer (show)

Show (This layer has data.)

Show (This layer doesn't have data.)

Hide (This layer has data.)

Hide (This layer doesn't have data.)

Operation method of the layer setting dialogue box is only click of the mouse.
The right button sets an active layer.
The left button sets a Show or a Hide.
You can show / hide a single layer by left-clicking on layer number.

Value of fillet or chamfer

The value which is set to the case where the fillet or chamfer aspect is written, here is taken.

Base Length

For example, it creates the length of the line to create when creating an angle line, and so on, at this value.

Scroll pitch setting

Scroll pitch is set at each time magnification ratio is modified breadth of the drawing area 1/15 (default).
When we would like to adjust position finely, after deciding indicatory magnification ratio,modifying scroll pitch directly, the scroll please do with the arrow key.
